Dealing with Crisis
Dealing with crisis is something we may all face at some point in our
lives. Sudden death, physical, sexual or emotional abuse, homicide or
suicide - tragedy can strike anyone at any time. In addition to fear, rage,
isolation and confusion, victims may experience intense mental and physical
distress.
Immediate emotional assistance support and practical assistance can often
help victims cope with a crisis more effectively.
The Manitoulin Northshore Victim Crisis Assistance and Referral Service
(VCARS) is a non- profit, community based program funded by the Ministry
of the Attorney General, who provide confidential emergency emotional and
practical assistance to victims of crime, tragic circumstance and disaster
; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
